"It finally has started to cool down and with the full moon and equinox energies so strong,
I had to go paint early in the morning. The weekend before,
I had taken a ride out into the desert on a road that dead ends at the Desert Bar. 
There, I had found the turquoise and the red stone in this painting, and I hammered the stones
for several hours the night before to be ready for the painting"
