02-25-05 :: Pink Palace :: Muyil Ruinas, Tulum, Mexico :: 26" X 73"

"This was my first time to the Muyil Mayan Ruinas.
I hiked all through the site with incredible towers to climb to see over the tree tops.
This had once been a sea port and very active trade center. There are natural and man made canals
throughout the area connecting different lagoons before coming to land.
I painted by the building called the Rose Palicio-Pink Palace.
The softness of the area is depicted in this painting."
