07-2000 :: Teapotzlan, Morelos, Mexico :: 72" x 22"

"This is the last painting I created while in Mexico during the six months in 2000.
During that time, I traveled both coasts and back and forth up the mountains at least five different times
to get different colored pigments. Since I never knew where it was safe to paint in the mountains,
I did most of my painting at the different beaches.
I was running out of canvas and cut a small corner of this piece to try and match canvas at Cuernavaca.
My quest for new canvas was unsuccesful, but I was delighted with the flow of this piece
painted in the spiritual town of Teapoztlan in the mountains above Mexico City."
